Our commitment to a safe and respectful learning environment

Zero Tolerance: Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited at Kunnamangalam Higher Secondary School. Any student found guilty of ragging will face immediate disciplinary action including suspension or expulsion.

1. Definition of Ragging

Ragging includes any act that causes physical or psychological harm, raises apprehension or fear, shame or embarrassment to a student. This includes teasing, bullying, physical abuse, verbal abuse, cyberbullying, or any act of discrimination based on gender, religion, caste, or background.

2. School's Commitment

Kunnamangalam H.S.S is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students. The school management, teaching staff and support staff are collectively responsible for ensuring the campus remains free from ragging and bullying in any form.

3. Reporting Mechanism

Students who experience or witness ragging are encouraged to report it immediately to their class teacher, the Principal, or the Anti-Ragging Committee. Reports can be made in person, in writing, or through a trusted parent or guardian. All complaints will be treated with strict confidentiality.

4. Anti-Ragging Committee

The school has constituted an Anti-Ragging Committee comprising the Principal, senior teachers, a student representative, and a parent representative. The committee meets regularly and is responsible for investigating complaints and recommending appropriate action.

5. Disciplinary Action

Upon receipt of a complaint, the Anti-Ragging Committee will conduct a fair inquiry. If found guilty, the student may face one or more of the following: written warning, suspension from classes, community service, counselling, transfer of section, or expulsion from the school.
